Pointmaker is typical of his famous sire, the most successful approved son of Pik Koenig. After his outstanding stallion performance test Pik Bube went to Groenwohldhof, where he was schooled to advanced dressage by Herbert Rehbein besides his duties as a sire. In his only season as a competition horse (1983) he won two intermediate dressage competitions and he achieved 3 wins and several placings in advanced dressage competitions right from the start. Like he himself his progeny have always been much in demand. The competition horses sired by him are successful dressage horses, e.g.Pascha 203 and Pik Primaire (Grand Prix winner) and successful show jumpers, i.a. Prometheus and Pik Lady 5. His approved sons are much sought after in Germany. Pik Senior is a state stallion in Hanover, Prinz Miro and Pik Solo stand at stud in Oldenburg and Hanover, Paquirri in Hessen, Pikfein in BadenWuerttemberg, Pianist, Piaster and Pik Boy typein Bavaria. Pointmaker's dam sire, Weltmeister, carries jumping blood from Ferdinand and Don Carlos. Cardinal xx and Pik As xx provide refinement and excellent riding.
